Welcome to Pigs on Parade. During the summer of 2007, 100 new artist-adorned, fiberglass porcine wonders helped to celebrate the Pike Place Market’s Centennial as well as the Chinese Year of the Pig.

On October 12, 2007, this new batch of Centennial pigs strutted their curly tails and found new homes at the Pigs on Parade Auction to benefit the Market Foundation’s efforts to fund the Market’s services for low-income people - the Clinic, Senior Center, Preschool and Food Bank.

Final proceeds, after the remaining piggies went high-tech and found homes on E-bay, is a whopping $295,000! THOINKS to all who participated - sponsors, artists, auction attendees, pig buyers and volunteers!
